Ford RS 200 Evo
Ford RS200 Evo with 425 KM. 1 of only 9 Road Evos to be produced. Rare investment car.
Specification
The RS200 was the result of Fords attempt to conquer the world of Group B rallying, which dictated that 200 of these turbo-charged machines be built for homologation purposes. However, group B did allow for 20 of these vehicles to be "Evolution" models, that came with a number of important upgrades.
The upgrades on the RS200 Evo were vast; mainly revolving around the increased capacity 2.1-litre Cosworth engine, complemented by upgraded suspension and braking systems. At full boost, an Evo is capable of pushing out around 600bhp; and set the world record for accelerating to 60mph, with a time of around 3 seconds.
Competing with other rally icons such as the Lancia Delta S4 and Audi Quattro S1, the RS200 managed a total of 19 wins and 32 podiums in its short Group B career, as the category was soon cancelled over safety concerns.
The car we are offering is one of the most desirable RS200s left in the world; a delivery KM Evolution road vehicle, 1 of just 9 Evos never destined to compete. Naturally the condition of the car is fantastic throughout, and it has recently benefited from a full mechanical appraisal and service.
With homologation specials only going in one direction; this car is one of the finest investment opportunities on the market on top of being one of the most exciting road cars ever made.
